Amerigo Tot

As a member of the "league of revolutionary artists of Germany" Amerigo Ionne Tot, a Hungarian, spent part of the war in a German concentration camp but escaped to Italy and fought with the partisans. He was a painter in his early days but later studied sculpting in Berlin and Paris.
